Candidating For A Worship Leader Position

OK,This week I am going in to lead a worship team this week as part of an interview and candidating as a new worship leader at a Church in my community. Two of the musicians are sons of the senior pastor. I selected the music more than a week ago and I just got a note today from the pastor that he's is adding one more song the his son will sing as a special before the sermon. I'm a bit concerned about the way this was done. Any one have any thoughts regarding this scenario?

Hi Jerry,

Not knowing much about the full context, I wouldn't read too much into it. It may be that this is a "test" for you as to how you deal with change. If you haven't had a band rehearsal yet, it's probably even less of an issue. It could be an opportunity to show your leadership and organizational skills...just my two cents, maybe less than that :-)

Thank you Jeff, I think you're right. My insecurities wanted me to be defensive. I appreciate your advice , I won't read too much into it and see how it turns out.
Thanks again, I'll keep you posted, the formal interview is tonight ( Wednesday) and the rehearsal with the team is tomorrow night. Please pray for me on these events and choices in my life. Thank you again.
Jerry
