Good Place to start

I played guitar in middle school for about a year and learned a few chords but then my brother moved away and took his guitar with him. Well now hes back and I can use his guitars so I have a question:

Where is a good place to start? like if I was to buy one book to teach me or was to focus on only one thing what would that be? strumming, chords, notes, what?

I started with a Mel Bay chord book that had actual photographs of the fingering and diagrams of the chords as well. I learned the basic chords there and than played with as many other guitar players as possible. My right hand kinda happened as I listened to and tried to play songs that were a bit difficult for me. I do wish I would have learned a bit more theory in the beginning. Hope this helps a bit. God bless you today and Merry Christmas!
